After working with Cathay Pacific Group and Inflight Sales Group, Sandra Chaffey joined DFASS in 2011. Among other attributes, judges were impressed by her proven success within the sector, including the launch of more than 15 inflight programmes and two station openings in Asia in four years.

William Grant & Sons, Commercial Marketing Manager

Former Commonwealth Games badminton player Jillie Cooper joined William Grant & Sons in 2014 and has overseen the Dufry account since joining GTR in 2016. The team were impressed by the positive impact she has on colleagues, who cited her hard work to improve morale and get the whole office involved with projects.

Bettina Danet moved from France to Dublin in 2010 to join the new Luxottica Travel Retail division and she has not looked back. The Talent of Tomorrow panel commended her penchant for taking on new and innovative roles and her work as a key player in the growth of the sunglasses category.

Coindrum, Founder and CEO

After leaving Germany aged 15 with no real network of contacts, Lukas Decker raised the money and built the technology to create currency exchange company Coindrum, which now operates around the world. The judges praised his innovative use of technology – both his own and others’ – to drive business forward.

As a Product Manager with Retail in Motion, Nicole Tavernier keeps in regular contact with suppliers and airline partners, believing communication is the key to success. The team were impressed by her approach to solving problems and creating solutions which can be adapted for use by numerous clients.
